INTRODUCTION
The Multiple Intelligences (MI) Institute
The MI Institute is the first of its kind organization in support of existing or planned MI-based programs and professionals. The MI Institute's primary objective is to provide conceptual and institutional support to those integrating an MI philosophy and approaches in their setting. Toward that end, the Institute offers education, consulting, certification, and MI school accreditation services and related products in support of the development of sound, authentic, and developmentally appropriate MI programs in the early childhood education.
The MI Institute aims to provide the training, tools, community of support and systematic approach so that individuals and schools can use MI theory genuinely and effectively to create the best possible environment for each young child to learn and grow.
The missions of the MI Institute are:

1.To guide and support educators, programs, and school communities seeking to establish or enhance early childhood MI-based programs that are true to the spirit of MI theory, within a developmentally sound program that nurtures the whole child to his or her full potential.

2.To provide certification programs for MI School teachers and directors based on high standards of excellent MI-based and developmentally appropriate practices.

3.To offer an MI school accreditation service to serve schools and programs seeking formal recognition and endorsement of their high quality MI-based early childhood program.
